Graphic editing is a fine balancing act of content or information against style or evocation.
Graphic editors are the key players in processing and editing all types of images, illustrations, scanned and digital pictures, chemical drawing, graphs and charts, cover designs, etc., and meeting the customers specifications and production requirements of the publishing house.
Content
- Scanning of photos and illustrations, colour correction, image editing, special effects, superimpose, cut-outs and masking, colour models of special colours, RGB/CMYK/Grayscale, colour separation – pantone/ duotone, etc.,
- Printing basics, proof symbols, specifications and style sheets, resizing and re-sampling of images, changing resolution of images using Adobe Photoshop.
- Vector graphics editing, redrawing, resizing, recreation of illustrations, charts, graphs, etc., redrawing medical and engineering diagrams using Adobe Illustrator.
- Drawing chemical structures of both organic and inorganic, atomic structures, chemical labelling and symbols using special applications.
Eligibility
Diploma in Printing, B.A., B.Sc., B.E., B.Tech with good graphic aptitude. Admission based on graphic aptitude test.
