Technical editing plays a crucial role in quality control aspects of E-Publishing in terms of its technical accuracy, content, overall style, typographic measurements, spelling, pagination rules and proof reading.

Content

  • Book principles, production workflow, typography, mathematical expressions and symbols, proof reading marks, tables and figures, illustrations checking, style checking, front/back matter checking, checking font size, spacing, alignment, equations breaking, etc.,
  • Checking content against specifications, manuscripts, pagination/formatting conventions, measurements with pica scale, PDF file editing, American/British spelling, checking documents created in Quark, LaTex, InDesign, FrameMaker, ChemDraw, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.

Eligibility

B.Sc., M.Sc., BE/B.Tech, BCA, MCA with good English language skills. Admission based on aptitude test in English and proof reading.
